History of Fundalectura

Fundalectura is a private non-profit organization founded in 1990 by Asociación Colombiana de Industrias Graficas, Andigraf, the Camara Colombiana del Libro, the Productora de Papeles, Propal, and Smurtif Carton de Colombia, all of which are private companies associated to the book industry.

The Latin American Literature for Children and Young People Award, Norma-Fundalectura 2010

The call for nominations for this prize is open until October 30 2009. Since 1995 the prize has been organized by Fundalectura, IBBY Colombia, and supported by the Norma Publishing Group. This year Latin American writers can participate with a collection of tales or a novel to young adults readers. Unpublished works, written in Spanish and also in Portuguese (from Brazilian writers) may participate. The award includes the print of the work and also 13,000 USD (as royalties advance).

Premio Latinoamericano de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil Norma-Fundalectura 2010

Hasta octubre 30 de 2009 los escritores latinoamericanos que deseen participar en este premio pueden enviar sus trabajos a Fundalectura o a las oficinas del Grupo editorial Norma en Iberoamérica. Desde 1995 la sección colombiana de IBBY y el Grupo Editorial Norma convocan cada año el premio en distintas categorías.
