For 11 years in a row, the Bulgarian Book Association (BBA) has been organizing “The March of the Books” – a national campaign promoting children’s reading, which involves professionals, librarians and prominent personalities encouraging children to read, as well as a large program of events in the libraries and bookstores around the country.

BBA is also the organizer of Sofia International Literary Festival for Children and Young People. The festival is the only one of the kind in the capital city and it took place in 2022 for the fifth time. Both initiatives are strongly supported by the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science and by numerous organizations working in the field of children’s literature.
