IBBY-Yamada 2016: Armenia

With funding from the IBBY-Yamada Fund in 2015, IBBY Armenia organized a workshop and series of master classes for writers and illustrators with the aim of creating a book for young adults. The resulting book, with the theme of Young adults and the environment, was published at the end of 2015.

In a second stage, funding was obtained to organize a three-day workshop for 10 Armenian literature translators and then enable the book to be translated into English during 2016. The translator's workshop was held on 11-13 May. The workshop, led by Daniel Hahn, was attended by 14 young and middle-aged translators. With the guidance of Daniel Hahn, the work, "7 colors" was translated and the book designed and published and presented on 10 December.
