IBBY Singapore was established in September 2025 by a vibrant team of six emerging and veteran professionals from the book industry in Singapore - Ms Hanan Alsagoff, Ms Hidayah Amin, Ms Far'ain Jaafar, Ms Laura Peh, Ms Maria Rahim and Mr Ibrahim Tahir. With a strong mission dedicated to sharing IBBY’s values and bringing together the children’s and books ecosystem in Singapore, within the first month, we have held partner events and launched two projects to encourage reading and awareness of books from Singapore - My Reading Passport and an open call for the 2026 IBBY Honour List.
