History

Librarian Voice joined as the Bangladeshi Section of IBBY in January 2026. The Librarian Voice started its journey in 2018 as a monthly published online bulletin featuring books and library related news and articles. First issue published on February 05, 2018; that date carries significance as National Library Day is observed on the same day.  

Since its inceptions, Librarian Voice arrange a number of webinars, published special issues, organizing reading competition and collaborate with local community libraries. In 2025 it announces an award under Librarian Voice-Golam Mustafa Trust to appreciate the individuals who are working to spread reading culture  
 

Our Mission:

Librarian Voice is a forerunner of libraries, librarians, library professionals and readers in Bangladesh. It is working tirelessly to address their interests, form opinions on professional development and spreading reading habit amongst mass people.

Our Vision:

To bridge the gap between library professionals and library users, to collaborate with national and international organizations for quality enhancement and strategy development.

Main projects

  • Publish monthly magazine featuring news related to libraries, publications and book reading movement.
  •  Librarian Voice-Golam Mustafa Award to encourage people who are working to spread book reading awareness amongst mass people.
